Great American Roadtrip: Part 3--Provo, Utah

We spent about a week and a half in Provo, Utah.   It was a great trip but a little crazy too.  We arrived and spent five nights at Hyrum grandma and grandpa Allred's house.  The kids had a great time playing outside in the sand box and playhouse.   We made our pilgrimage to BYU and "made a deposit" at the bookstore as Hyrum likes to say--mostly on candy.  The kids and I went to Payson to visit a friend from Austin.  We got to hang out with my siblings a bit and Hyrum's sister.  Hannah and Hyrum even hiked the Y.

Following our time at the Allred's we moved down the street to Hyrum's aunt's house.  That is always fun with a few cousins to play with.  It was great to spend some time with Marie and her family.  We visited with my grandparents and also met a bunch of friends at the park.  It was great to see old friends from so many parts of our lives.

After that we were suppose to spend a couple nights with Great-grandma and Grandpa Wright's but an injury for Grandma meant a little shuffling.  We ended up spending a few days at Hyrum's Uncle Matt's house with his family.  We had a few great nights staying up way too late talking with Matt and Sheryl.  We are so grateful for loving family and friends that would take us in and make time to see us as well.  It was so fun to see all of our old friends too.  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to when we get to go back.

We checked out the grave stones of Hyrum's family.  The "Charlotte"  in the top picture is our Charlotte's namesake.
